1. Data controller
ERRORCHECK is an operational quality control platform. Data is processed with the utmost care and in compliance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
2. Data collected
Business owner data (account): Name, email, phone (optional), business name and address. This data is required to create and manage the account.
Feedback data (end customers): Error type, optional details (free text), shift, timestamp. We do not collect personal data from end customers. Feedback is 100% anonymous — no name, email, IP, cookies or any identifier.
3. Purpose of processing
- Account and business dashboard management
- Sending alerts and reports by email (configurable)
- Operational cost calculation and trend analysis
- Anonymised, aggregated sector benchmarking (opt-out available)
4. Benchmarking and anonymisation
For sector comparison purposes, we aggregate data anonymously: only averages by sector/country, with a minimum of 5 businesses per group. No individual business is identifiable. You can disable this feature in your account settings.
5. Data retention
Feedback data is retained while the account is active. After account deletion, all associated data is erased within 30 days. Aggregated benchmarking data (already anonymised) may be retained indefinitely.
6. Data subject rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure and portability by contacting [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
We use TLS/HTTPS encryption on all communications, passwords are stored with bcrypt hashing, and database access is restricted and audited.
